It has been a while!

It has been a while since I have blogged anything. I don't really know why. There are things that have happened, I just haven't had a lot of time. And really I haven't felt like it. But I thought I should give a short update. Mother's Day weekend was fun. On Saturday we went to the Hightowers, there was about 25 people there. We all made Moroccan food. It was a lot of fun. The food was pretty good, the people great. Sunday we had Emma's family party. It was fun, she got a new bike. A real bike not a trike. Very exciting. The rest of the day was like any other Sunday, but overall a good weekend. This last weekend was amazing. I have some friends who use to live here, but are now in DC and soon moving to Florida. They have a little girl about 2 and a half. Her name is Lillian. She has Leukemia. They have insurance, but he just finished grad school and they are moving and starting a new job. In other words money isn't growing on the trees in their backyard. They were going to have to pay about $4000 in out of pocket for medical. This last weekend My friend Karen and I put together a fund raiser at our church. The end total was about $140 dollars over the $4000 they need. God is AMAZING!!!!! I am blessed to have been a part of that. Then on Sunday we went to the newest Narnia, loved it. Yesterday on the other hand sucked, but I am not going there. Well there it is a brief update about the big events in my life.

Emma's outer space party

This weekend we had Emma's birthday party. I know it is early, but it is the only open weekend we had. She had an outer space party. It was pretty fun. There was about 11 kids there and no fighting, so that is a plus. After the party Mom and Emma and I went to Ren fair. For those of you who don't live in Moscow that is Renaissance fair. As someone said this weekend it is when all the hippies gather and sell what they made during the winter. I was a great sunny weekend, so it was fun to be outside. Let me tell you Ren fair is the true colors of our little town. People dress up and go all out. I saw a man wearing a tye dye suit. I also saw a man wearing hiking boots, a backpack, a hat and a leopard speedo. Yeah neat! Half his butt hanging out the back, walking around like nothing was wrong. You have got to love it! I was a little bummed this weekend because the Clumsy Lovers played. We didn't have a babysitter, and we were both way too tired to stay up until 1am or later. Thus we missed the band. Oh well, they will be here in August.
